RATE SPECIALIST - FT

o Manually rates freight bills on the nightshift that kickout of autorate.
These freight bills require the manual calculation of freight charges.
o Interprets and correctly applies rating applications found the SEFL customers Tariffs and Contracts.
o Determines the correct classification of articles being shipped from the National Motor Freight Classification.
o Processes Weight and Inspection corrections and re-rates nightly to ensure a corrected invoice is received by the customer at the time of delivery or invoicing.
o Maintains Tariff setups and filing for SEFL Tariffs and Contracts.
o Provides feedback to Central Billing on errors found.
o Corrects billing errors found after Central Billing leaves for the night.
o Completes manual rating within a timely manner to allow operations to print delivery sets for next day delivery.
o Answers phone calls received from Internal and External customers.
o All Southeastern Freight Lines Associates are responsible for being personally committed to the principles of the Quality Improvement Process and applying these principles to realize a continuous improvement in the quality of work performed.
o Other duties as assigned by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - o High school diploma or equivalent required.
o Minimum two (2) years of outside experience in rating OR a minimum of one (1) year experience as a Rate Specialist Trainee at SEFL required.

o Must obtain a 70% or above score on the overall math test.
o Ability to type 35wpm preferred.
o Strong attention to detail required.
o Ability to operate a personal computer and related software.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
