Java Developer Job Details
Responsible for application requirement analysis, design and development across multiple client server or web based platforms Work closely with business units to review business requirements and feasibility from the technical perspective and to finalize requirement. Develop Web applications/Services in Java/JSP/Jersey/Spring etc., Perform code reviews, Perform unit & Integration testing.
Key accountabilities are:
o Participate in analysis and system design specification sessions. Documentation of design options and solutions according to System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology. Ensure that solutions adhere to development best practices and architectural principles.
o Apply analytical skills to resolve problems and deliver viable solutions. Anticipate obstacles and execute proactive approaches to issues. Active participation in issue resolution.
o Provide development estimates to Project Manager for development effort as well as weekly status reporting and budget forecasting.
o Responsible for coding, testing, packaging, deployment and support of builds as code is promoted from development, system, acceptance and production environments. May lead code reviews.
o Provide technical support to business and testing team during testing phases. Track defects, defect triage and resolution.
o Knowledge transfer within group.
o Ensure required documentation is housed in the project repository and that knowledge transfer has occurred to full time staff upon completion of contract term.
Java Developer Mandatory Skills
-Minimum 5 years of experience working on large complicated public facing Java Web applications/Services development projects, Application Integration, Middle-tier Development and Backend Core Java Development.
-Minimum 2 year experience developing public facing RESTful services with Java, Jersey, JAX-RS, JAX-WS, JAXB and Spring.
-Minimum 2 years' experience, working with IBM Web Application Server 7 or 8 (WAS 7 or WAS 8), IBM RAD 7.5 or RAD 8.5 IDE.
-Experience testing RESTful services with SoapUI or SOA test tool.
Nice to have:
-Experience working in Online/Mobile banking application development.
